Tai Chi
The Lotus Retreat hosts a weekly Tai Chi Qigong class with Janette Saville. Classes are open to all abilities.
Janette offers a fusion of Tai Chi and Qigong. With a gentle simplicity she combines movement with stillness to encourage a calming of the mind and an overall experience of wellbeing. All movements are gentle and nurturing, working with the body whatever level we are starting from.
We will work towards the benefits of increased flexibility, improved posture, strengthening the muscles, improved circulation, hydration of the joints, and grounding and balance for fall prevention. We will do this through a focus on the Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi forms, but we will explore many other Tai Chi Qigong forms as we progress.
Janette Saville
Janette has been a student of Tai Chi since 2012. “Learning Tai Chi has given me an inner strength to help deal with the complexities of life and the stresses of the world around us. It has also increased my physical strength and improved both my stamina and flexibility.”
Janette completed a two year Qigong Teacher Training Course with The Shiatsu College, Bristol in 2018, attaining a Diploma in TeachingQigong. She has also studied Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi Set One, Set Two and Set Three with Sifu Wing Cheung and is a Certified Instructor for each.
Time: 7.30 - 8.30pm Tuesday in the Lotus Hall.
7.30 - 8.30pm Thursday in the Lotus Hall.
Sessions run in four week blocks next starting on the 7th of March 2023.
Cost £11 /week when booked as a 4 -week block, £12 drop-in.
